Edward Gale, a 35-year-old man from Hanson, Massachusetts, disappeared on March 28, 1986. Gale, who had a history of mental illness, was on medication at the time but had previously stopped taking it during extended absences. His family suspected that his medication might have lapsed again before his disappearance.
