Raymond Sears, 37, went missing on July 18, 1992, while aboard a small Cessna 172 plane en route to Beaver Island, Michigan. The aircraft, piloted by Tom Lammon, carried Raymond, his wife Catherine Sears, and Tom's wife Peggy Lammon. The couples were traveling for a weekend getaway. The plane took off from Battle Creek and vanished from radar near the Leelanau Peninsula, just 35 miles south of their destination.
