In the spring of 1998, a family's life was forever changed when Isaac Ray Howard, a 34-year-old man, vanished from St. Rose, Louisiana. He was last seen at his mother's residence on May 28, 1998. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were immediately concerning. The day after he was last seen, his car was discovered abandoned within the same community of St. Rose, adding a layer of mystery to his sudden absence. At the time he went missing, there were concerns that he might have been experiencing memory loss, a detail that has left his loved ones with years of unanswered questions. Isaac Ray Howard was a Black / African American male with black hair and brown eyes. He stood at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed approximately 145 pounds. He had several distinguishing physical features that his family hoped would aid in his identification, including a scar on his chest, a mole on the back of his neck, and two additional moles on the back of his head. On the day he disappeared, he was reportedly wearing a white or light-colored t-shirt, blue jeans, and black work boots, a simple outfit that offers a final visual memory for those who saw him last. The investigation into Isaac Howard's disappearance has been handled by the Saint Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. Despite the passage of time, his case remains an active missing person investigation. Information was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) in March 2013, with law enforcement and his family continuing to seek any information that could lead to answers. Over the years, few details have emerged, and the case has grown cold, leaving a painful void for his family. The official investigation continues to seek any information that might shed light on what happened to Isaac Ray Howard after he left his mother's home on that May day.
