The story of Michael Scott Toups is one of lingering questions and a family's long search for answers. Although he was officially reported missing in 2011, his family had been trying to find him since 1998. At the time of his disappearance, he was 39 years old. The last potential sighting of him was years after he initially lost contact with his family, in 2005, in Cameron, Louisiana.
