Michael Scott Toups, a 39-year-old man from Cameron, Louisiana, was last seen on April 1, 1998. His family, however, did not officially report him missing until 2011, though they had been searching for him since his disappearance. The last known information regarding his whereabouts surfaced in 2005, when it was suggested that he may have been working in the fishing industry in the Cameron area.
