Gordon Machek, a 55-year-old retired auto designer, was last seen on October 20, 2001, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He had recently retired from his career at DaimlerChrysler and was planning to relocate with his partner, Jim Johnson, to their dream home in Tampa, Florida.
