Steve Keller, a 76-year-old experienced outdoorsman from Palo Alto, California, went missing on September 2, 2023, while on a group hike in the Wind River Mountains near Lander, Wyoming. Keller was last seen at Steamboat Lake, where he and his group were camping. He became separated from the group while hiking toward Deadman Lake, leaving his backpack behind at the campsite.
