Newton Whidden, 85 years old at the time, was last seen on August 20, 2012, in Sarasota, Florida. On the day of his disappearance, he visited a pharmacy on 10th Street, where he left behind his cellphone. This was the last confirmed sighting of him. Newton, a white male with gray hair and hazel eyes, stands 5'9" and weighs around 135 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a long-sleeved plaid shirt and tan slacks.
