In the summer of 2013, a family was forever changed by the disappearance of a loved one. Ever Garcia Hernandez, a 30-year-old Hispanic male, was last heard from on June 23, 2013, while in the vicinity of Douglas, Arizona. His last communication with his family was a phone call on June 21st, in which he stated his intention to cross the border at Agua Prieta. He was not alone in this endeavor; his sister accompanied him. However, their journey together was tragically cut short.

The circumstances surrounding Ever's disappearance are fraught with uncertainty. His sister was apprehended by Border Patrol during their attempt to cross the border, but she was unable to provide any information regarding Ever's whereabouts or whether he, too, had been taken into custody. This lack of information left his family in a painful state of limbo, unsure of his fate. The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office is the investigating agency in this case, but with so few leads, the investigation has been challenging.

Ever is described as having black hair and black eyes. He has several distinguishing physical features that his family hopes will aid in his identification. These include a missing tip of an index finger, pierced ears, a red heart-shaped birthmark on his right cheek, and a brown, stain-like birthmark under his left armpit. Additionally, he has two tattoos: one on his arm that reads 'Garcias Never Die' and another on his calf depicting a woman from the waist up. At the time of his disappearance, he was believed to be wearing size 36 pants, a large shirt, and size 9 shoes.
