Bertha Louise Burke, a 29-year-old mother of three, disappeared from her home in Port Angeles, Washington, on February 20, 1970. She was last seen after putting her young children to bed, leaving her purse and other personal belongings behind. At the time of her disappearance, Bertha was going through a divorce from her husband, Douglas Burke, who was later identified as a person of interest in her case. However, no charges were ever filed, and he remarried before passing away in 2008.
