In the winter of 1971, a young girl named Helen Marie Green vanished from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. Approximately 12 years old at the time, Helen was last seen on or around January 1st of that year. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are rooted in a troubled home life, which reportedly led her and her brother, Johnny, to run away together.
