In the late summer of 1984, the life of a young mother named Norell Sanders was irrevocably altered. On September 24th, her one-year-old daughter, Deborah Lyyn Sanders, was forcefully taken from her Chicago, Illinois, home. The person responsible was Deborah's non-custodial father, Odell Sheppard.
