Lynda Hanley, a 23-year-old woman from Lincoln, Rhode Island, disappeared on November 4, 1971. She was last seen at Archie's Tavern in Pawtucket after receiving a phone call from an unknown man. Lynda left immediately after the call and was never heard from again. Three days later, her husband found her car parked at the Holiday Inn in South Attleboro, Massachusetts, a location less than ten miles from Pawtucket.

At the time of her disappearance, Lynda was wearing a brown leather coat and white boots. She had light brown hair, blue eyes, and a distinctive scar on her left arm. Lynda was a popular student during her high school years in Lincoln, where she participated in various extracurricular activities, including the school newspaper, art club, and drama club. She had expressed aspirations of becoming a registered nurse.

Despite investigations and the efforts of law enforcement, Lynda's case remains unsolved, and she is still classified as an endangered missing person. Investigators continue to seek information about her disappearance, and her case is open with the Lincoln Police Department.
