On November 5, 1985, 21-year-old Robert W. Harris and his 20-year-old brother, Stephen J. Harris, were reported missing from Jamestown, Rhode Island. The brothers had left a note at their home indicating they were going fishing at Fort Wetherill State Park and planned to return by 4:00 PM that afternoon. When they did not come home as expected, their father grew concerned and went to their fishing spot to look for them.
Upon arriving at Fort Wetherill, the brothers' father discovered their car, which was parked and locked. Nearby, on the rocks, he found one of their fishing poles and a bait container. There was no sign of Robert or Stephen, and an extensive search of the area was subsequently launched. Despite these efforts, the brothers have not been seen or heard from since. The Jamestown Police Department is the investigating agency for this case.
At the time of his disappearance, Robert Harris was described as a white male, 5'11" tall, and weighing approximately 172 pounds, with brown hair. Details about the clothing the brothers were wearing are unknown, though it has been noted that one of them often wore a red vest.
