Michael E. Azzaro, a 16-year-old from Northridge, California, was last seen on February 13, 1993. He left his home at noon that day, driving his red 1992 Isuzu Rodeo. He was accompanied by Evans York, an older acquaintance, with plans to travel to Los Angeles. Michael intended to buy a .45-caliber pistol and was reportedly involved in a plan to acquire marijuana for resale.
