Michael Azzaro Missing Person Case

Michael E. Azzaro, a 16-year-old from Northridge, California, was last seen on February 13, 1993. He left his home at noon that day, driving his red 1992 Isuzu Rodeo. He was accompanied by Evans York, an older acquaintance, with plans to travel to Los Angeles. Michael intended to buy a .45-caliber pistol and was reportedly involved in a plan to acquire marijuana for resale. Despite these plans, Michael never returned, and his family, who had been away on vacation, couldn't reach him via his car phone or pager, which was highly unusual for him due to his regular communication habits.

Two days after his disappearance, Michael's vehicle was found abandoned in Lennox, California. Several months later, his driver's license mysteriously appeared in the mail with no note or return address. Authorities suspected foul play, and York was charged with Michael's murder, but despite compelling circumstantial evidence, he was acquitted in 1994. No trace of Michael has ever been found, and his body remains missing. Due to the suspicious nature of the case, foul play is still suspected.
