On the evening of November 21, 1998, in Fairbanks, Alaska, 37-year-old Maryellen McMillin was seen for the last time at her home on Steel Creek Road. A physician's assistant, she had returned from her job at the Carlson Center and was planning to meet friends later that evening. When she left her residence around 7:00 p.m., she was driving her dark green 1994 Subaru Loyale station wagon with Alaska license plate CSY207.
