In the early morning hours of September 16, 1993, 38-year-old Marjorie Maldonado was last seen in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska. An Alaska Native woman with black hair and brown eyes, she was known to wear prescription eyeglasses. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5'7" and weighing approximately 130 pounds. Distinctive features included scars on both of her forearms, her left arm, and her left leg. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black turtleneck t-shirt, a long-sleeved cream-colored fishnet style blouse, a green jean jacket, and black leggings. She was also wearing a wedding band with a diamond in the center. Sometime after she was last seen, her 1974 camel-colored Ford van was found abandoned behind a bar in Fairbanks. There was no sign of Marjorie at the scene of the vehicle's recovery. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and the discovery of her van have led investigators to suspect that foul play was involved in her case.
