In the winter of 2006, a 61-year-old man named Cris Tademy vanished from the city of Lakewood, Washington. On January 30th, he was last seen at approximately 4:00 p.m. at a Walgreens pharmacy located on Bridgeport Way Southwest. At the time of his disappearance, Cris, an African American male, stood at six feet tall and weighed between 160 and 185 pounds. He was a resident of 108th Street Court South and was known to frequent various locations in both Lakewood and the neighboring city of Tacoma. Concern for his well-being was heightened by the fact that he had several significant health challenges. He was living with dementia, schizophrenia, and a heart condition, all of which required medication that he did not have with him. This made his sudden disappearance all the more alarming for those who knew him. Cris Tademy had several distinguishing physical characteristics. He was bald and sometimes had a goatee. A notable feature was the four gold rings he wore in his left pierced ear. He also walked with a noticeable limp and a shuffle, the result of a hip replacement surgery he had undergone just a few months prior in August of 2005. It was also known that he stuttered when he spoke and wore dentures. On the day he was last seen, Cris was wearing a black beanie with an "LA" logo on the front, a black coat, jeans, and black gloves. He was also wearing glasses and was known to always carry a black fanny pack. The circumstances surrounding Cris Tademy's disappearance remain unclear. After leaving the Walgreens, he was never heard from again. His case is classified as an endangered missing person due to his medical conditions. Despite the passage of time, the investigation into his whereabouts remains open. The details of his last known movements are sparse, and there have been few leads to follow. The lack of available information has made the search for answers a difficult and prolonged one, leaving his loved ones with unresolved questions and a deep sense of loss. The case is a somber reminder of the many individuals who go missing, and the lasting impact their absence has on their communities.
