Jonathan Chase Franklin, a 25-year-old from St. Charles, Missouri, was last seen on May 31, 2013, during a rafting trip on the Meramec River near Times Beach, located in Eureka, Missouri. He was wearing green and white swim trunks and water shoes when he disappeared. Franklin was with friends near the confluence of the Meramec and Big Rivers, approximately two miles upstream from the Route 66 State Park boat ramp.
