Kianna Rae Jackson, a 20-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada, was last seen on October 3, 2013, in Santa Ana, California. She had traveled to Santa Ana for a court date regarding prostitution charges but never appeared for her scheduled hearing and was never heard from again. Her disappearance is believed to be connected to a series of missing women in the same area during that time. Kianna, along with Josephine Vargas and Martha Anaya, was known to frequent a specific area of Santa Ana, and all three women vanished within weeks of each other.

In April 2014, two men, Franc Cano and Steven Dean Gordon, were arrested and charged with the murders of Kianna and three other women, including Vargas and Anaya. Both men, convicted sex offenders, had been under GPS monitoring at the time of the disappearances. Despite their arrests and eventual convictions, the bodies of Kianna and the other women, except for one victim, have never been found. Gordon confessed to their killings during his trial, stating that he and Cano disposed of the women's bodies in dumpsters, leading investigators to believe the victims' remains are likely buried in landfills. Gordon was sentenced to death, and Cano awaits trial.
