In the early morning hours of March 5, 2014, 38-year-old Dusten Dean Toschlog vanished from his home in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was last seen at approximately 4:00 a.m. leaving in his brown 1994 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Dusten is a white male, standing at 6'1" and weighing around 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has distinct physical features, including a partially missing left ear and a dragon tattoo on the back of one of his shoulders. At the time of his disappearance, he had a mustache and may have been wearing jeans with unique blue and white thread tassels on the pockets. The circumstances surrounding Dusten's disappearance grew more mysterious when his Chevrolet Silverado, bearing the Tennessee license plate J3010D, was discovered later the same day. The truck was found abandoned behind a Joy Foods convenience store on Bat Cave Road in Old Fort, North Carolina, a location approximately 100 to 106 miles south of where he was last seen. There was no sign of Dusten at the scene, and his truck was subsequently towed. His aunt later mentioned that the contents of the truck might have suggested he was intending to harm himself. Since he was last seen, there has been no contact from Dusten. His family, who live across several states including Indiana, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, and Kentucky, have not heard from him. Initial reports suggest he may have left on his own accord. Despite the passage of time, the case remains unsolved, and the circumstances leading to his disappearance are unclear. Authorities have expressed concern for his safety, and the investigation continues as his loved ones await answers.
