Betty Balas, 76, and her husband Louis Balas, 77, were last seen at their home in the Wilshire district of Los Angeles, California, on December 13, 1980. The couple vanished under mysterious circumstances between 6:15 and 9:00 p.m. When police later investigated, they found the front door of their home open, a set of keys in the lock, the television turned on, and the bathtub filled with water.
