James W. Morse, a 54-year-old carpenter and disabled veteran, was last seen on February 23, 1982, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to his disappearance, Morse had been visiting his mother in Apopka, Florida. He then set out to return to West Palm Beach in his silver Ford step-up van. Along the way, Morse reportedly picked up a hitchhiker. This would be the last time he was seen alive.
