Johnny Joe Shields, 32, was last seen on the night of December 14, 1988, at his home in Carter Lake, Iowa, where he lived with his mother. He was heard leaving the house around 2:00 a.m. on December 15, but he never returned, and there has been no contact with his family since. He was officially reported missing on December 16, 1988.
