John McMeel Missing Person Case

John Lawrence McMeel, a 31-year-old Irish national, was last seen on November 14, 1997, in Burlingame, California. McMeel had left his home in Ireland in 1996 to travel the world, eventually arriving in the San Francisco Bay Area in March 1997. He regularly kept in contact with his sister in Massachusetts, who sent him money through wire transfers during his travels. However, all communication with McMeel abruptly ceased in November 1997, and his family reported him missing in early 1998.

McMeel is described as 6'1" tall, weighing approximately 180 to 190 pounds, with graying brown hair and blue eyes. He also had a distinctive burn scar running from his collarbone to his navel, a result of a childhood injury. McMeel was known to have a strong Irish accent.

There has been no trace of McMeel since his disappearance, and his case remains unsolved. Despite efforts from both his family and law enforcement, no leads have emerged regarding his whereabouts.
