John George Smith, aged 36, was last seen by his grandmother on December 1, 2006, in St. James City, Florida. Smith, who had a history of hitchhiking across the United States, disappeared without a trace. He was known to use aliases, including Emmaus Carrol Walter and Johnnie George Walter. His sudden disappearance raised concerns as he had no known means of transportation at the time and was reported to frequently move around using unconventional methods.
