On October 29, 2016, 14-year-old Demarco Webster Jr. was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in the South Austin neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred while Demarco was helping his father move. He was tying a mattress to the roof of a car when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, striking him in the torso.
