His mother reported him missing three days later after visiting his home and finding the front door open, lights and a ceiling fan on, but no sign of John. Authorities discovered signs of disturbance at his residence, including a broken rear window in both his house and his truck. His white 1997 Chevrolet Suburban, with the California license plate 4GWV182, was also missing.
Neighbors reported that Goodman, normally a quiet individual, had been receiving visitors before his disappearance. Given these unusual circumstances, including the state of his home and vehicle, law enforcement suspects foul play.
