Evander Zamorano-Vazquez, a 17-year-old from Arcadia, Florida, was last seen on October 25, 2007. On the day of his disappearance, Evander was at work and received a ride to a nearby Wal-Mart during his lunch break. He informed the person who drove him that he would take a taxi back but never returned. Later that day, he called his father and asked him to pick up his paycheck from his employer. Evander also contacted his boss, requesting that the check be released to his father. This was the last communication anyone had with him.
At the time of his disappearance, Evander was carrying a Bible and authorities believe he may have left voluntarily, classifying him as an endangered runaway. Despite the initial belief that he left of his own accord, no additional details have surfaced, and his whereabouts remain unknown. He may be using variations of his name, including Vazquez-Zamorano, Vazquez, or simply Zamorano. Age-progression images have been released in hopes of gathering new leads, but the case remains unsolved.
