In the autumn of 2014, a young man named Wesley Wayne Firth, known to his friends and family as Wes, disappeared from Vancouver, Washington. At 19 years old, Wes was navigating a challenging period of his life. He was experiencing homelessness and dealing with both mental health issues and a history of drug abuse. Despite these struggles, he maintained contact with his mother. The last time she spoke with her son was on November 14, 2014; he has not been seen or heard from since that day. Wesley is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing between 6'0" and 6'1" and weighing around 145 to 165 pounds. He has several distinguishing physical features, including scars on both of his ankles from Achilles tendon surgery. Additionally, he has very high arches in his feet, and his little toes turn under. At the time of his disappearance, he had short brown hair and sometimes wore scruffy facial hair. The circumstances surrounding Wesley's disappearance remain unclear, and very little information has been made public about the investigation. The Clark County Sheriff's Office is the investigating agency in his case. Given his transient lifestyle and personal challenges at the time he went missing, there are concerns that he may have fallen victim to an accident or foul play. It is also possible that his mental health may have deteriorated, leading him to lose the ability or desire to contact his family. The lack of any new information over the years has left his family with unanswered questions and continued worry for his well-being. The case is an ongoing reminder of the vulnerability of individuals facing homelessness and mental health crises.
