In a case with a deeply tragic outcome, Odion Turner, a 50-year-old male with former ties to Vancouver, Washington, was located deceased on August 10, 2021. His life was cut short in a violent shooting that also claimed the life of his 45-year-old cousin, David Turner. The incident occurred not in Washington, but in Portland, Oregon, sending shockwaves through his family and the community. Odion Turner was known in the hip-hop world as Murdock and was an associate of the group Wu-Tang Clan. The tragic events unfolded in the early morning hours, at approximately 5:19 a.m., in Portland's Madison South neighborhood. Odion and David Turner were inside a tan RV trailer when a man reportedly knocked on the door asking for a cigarette. When the door was opened, a barrage of gunfire erupted. The assault was sudden and brutal, leaving both Odion and his cousin fatally wounded at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner later confirmed that both men died from gunshot wounds and ruled their deaths as homicides. In addition to the two fatalities, the shooting left four other people injured, one with life-threatening injuries. The aftermath of the violence was filled with profound grief for the Turner family. In a heartbreaking turn of events, the same day Odion Turner was killed, his oldest daughter gave birth to a child, a moment of immense joy overshadowed by immense pain. His family, including his son and brother, expressed their belief that the attack was a targeted "assassination" motivated by jealousy and hate. The Portland police have been investigating the double homicide, but as of the latest reports, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in the shooting. The case remains an active and ongoing investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for a family and community seeking justice for the violent loss of two of their own.
