Elijah “Bear” Diaz, a 20-year-old Native American man from El Cajon, California, was last seen on August 29, 2015. He had Type 1 diabetes and was in poor health due to complications such as neuropathy, which caused severe foot wounds. Bear required insulin and daily care. His mother last saw him when she dropped him off at his home in the 700 block of Joey Avenue around 10 p.m. They exchanged a goodnight text at 11:19 p.m., marking the last time anyone heard from him.
