On the evening of March 14, 2007, 15-year-old Nachida Keota Chandara was at her family's home in Phoenix, Arizona, near South 67th Avenue and West Lower Buckeye Road. At some point after 10:00 p.m., the Laotian teenager disappeared. Initially, authorities believed she had left of her own accord, classifying her case as that of an endangered runaway.
