On a cold winter day in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 18, 1978, a 52-year-old man named Orben 'Lee' Dorrell was seen for the last time. A retired police officer, Dorrell had served with the Kansas City Police Department for a quarter of a century before his retirement in 1974. Known by his middle name, Lee, he was a white male with graying hair and brown eyes, standing at 6 feet tall and weighing around 215 pounds.
