On August 29, 1991, 20-year-old Wesley H. Eviston was at his home on 500 South in the quiet area of southern Noble Township, Indiana, spending time with friends. The evening took a sudden and unsettling turn when an acquaintance arrived at the house. Eviston went outside to speak with the individual and, upon returning inside, made a cryptic comment to his friends, stating that he believed he was being "set up."
