David Bryant Cottle Jr., 40 years old, was last seen on March 9, 2013, at his home in the Murrayville area of Wilmington, North Carolina. On the day of his disappearance, his family left the house around noon, and when they returned at 6:00 p.m., Cottle was gone. A few personal items were also missing, including a light tan journal and a gray and green backpack. Cottle was known to frequent the woods near his home, and a search of the area was conducted, but no trace of him was found.
