In the summer of 2013, a 21-year-old woman named Radiah Gilbert, also known as Dynasty or Dee Dee, disappeared from Nashville, Tennessee. She was last seen on June 24, 2013, at a Roadway Inn on West Trinity Lane. At the time she went missing, Radiah was approximately six to seven months pregnant, with her baby due in August or September of that year. She was also the mother of a two-year-old child who was in the care of her mother.
Before she vanished, Radiah had been living with her mother on and off but had recently left after her mother encouraged her to seek help for a drug addiction. It was not uncommon for her to stay at various motels in East Nashville, and she was known to be involved in sex work.
Radiah's disappearance was out of character, even though she would sometimes be out of contact for days at a time. Her mother immediately felt that something was wrong. The circumstances surrounding her vanishing are limited, as there is very little public information available about her last known movements. Tragically, Radiah's mother passed away without ever learning what happened to her daughter. Law enforcement officials have stated their belief that she was likely a victim of foul play. A Metro Nashville Homicide Detective, Lt. Jill Weaver, expressed that it is highly improbable for someone to simply vanish without a trace, suggesting a more sinister explanation for her disappearance.
Over a decade has passed, yet the case of Radiah Gilbert and her unborn child remains unsolved. Cold case detectives continue to investigate, hoping to one day bring answers and a sense of closure to her remaining family. The investigation has been hampered by a lack of substantial leads and public information. Radiah is described as a Black female with black hair and brown eyes, and at the time of her disappearance, she was between 5'0' and 5'3' tall and weighed around 135 to 140 pounds.
