Carla Mae Burns, a dedicated 49-year-old nursing instructor at Southeastern Illinois College, was last seen on the afternoon of March 8, 2016, in Harrisburg, Illinois. A native of Texas, she had moved to Illinois after her marriage to Dr. Brian Burns in 2009. At the time of her disappearance, she was living in Marion, Illinois, and was planning to return to Texas to be with her two sons after the college semester ended.
