Carla Burns, a 49-year-old nursing instructor from Harrisburg, Illinois, was last seen on March 8, 2016. At the time, Carla was going through a difficult divorce from her estranged husband, Brian Burns, a local doctor. Shortly after her disappearance, Brian was charged with her murder. Investigators believe that Brian shot Carla, then burned her body and scattered the ashes.
