Paul Thomas Murray, aged 48, was last seen on June 16, 2016, in Key West, Florida. Murray, who lived on a boat in Boot Key Harbor, had traveled to Stock Island to help his friend, Donny Vanaria, move a sailboat named *Hornet* from Robbie’s Marina to Marathon. The following morning, the *Hornet* was found run aground on a jetty, but neither Murray nor Vanaria were aboard. Vanaria left Florida shortly after and returned to New York, raising concerns. He was later located and interviewed by investigators, but no solid leads have emerged.
Murray had been missing since that day, with no activity on his phone, social media, or bank accounts. His family has continued to seek answers, expressing that it was out of character for him to disappear without contact. Despite searches and investigations, his case remains unsolved, with authorities suspecting foul play.
