He left with only his driver's license and debit card, leaving his other personal belongings, including his cell phone, behind.
At the time of his disappearance, Abeyta was a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri. His planned destination after the accident was to a local video store that also served as a bus stop, with the intention of buying a ticket back to Kansas City, Missouri.
