Tammyetta Michelle Spaulding, a 37-year-old mother of two, was last seen on September 2, 2016, in Jackson, Mississippi. That morning, she dropped her children off at school and briefly went to work before leaving early. Spaulding was last confirmed to have been seen at a payday lending business on Ellis Avenue. The next day, she spoke with a family member on the phone, but this was the last time anyone heard from her. Her dark blue 2013 Chevrolet Equinox was found abandoned on September 5 near I-55 in Jackson. The vehicle had been wiped clean of fingerprints, and her keys were missing.
Tammyetta had a history of heart disease and required daily medication for diabetes, which she did not have with her at the time of her disappearance.
Foul play is suspected, and an anonymous tip claimed that her ex-boyfriend may have been involved, suggesting her body was disposed of using acid. However, these claims have not been substantiated, and her case remains unsolved.
