On the morning of October 10, 2016, 67-year-old Christine Shields Wagner was seen leaving her home in Olympia, Washington. She was driving her 2004 Toyota Matrix, but her destination was unknown to her family. Adding to the distress of her sudden departure, she left her purse and all of its contents behind at her residence.
