Clarence Owens, a 65-year-old from Freeport, Illinois, was last seen on February 20, 1976. He and his business partner, Everett Hawley, attended a farm auction near the Winnebago-Ogle County line. The two men were known to frequently visit auctions and typically carried cash in case they found something to purchase.
