Donald Rexroth, a 23-year-old airman stationed at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Michigan, disappeared under mysterious circumstances on May 4, 1979. On the night of his disappearance, Rexroth was last seen by his wife while they were cleaning the quarters of another military couple on base. Wearing only a white thermal shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes, he left the residence on foot in freezing temperatures and was never seen alive again.
