On that day, Boyle and his girlfriend, Stacey Lee Lynch, were exploring the area when they are believed to have accidentally fallen from the cliffs into the Pacific Ocean.
The rough and dangerous terrain near the cliffs has led authorities to suspect that both were swept into the ocean, though their bodies were never recovered.
Boyle was 5'9", 140 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He had previously suffered injuries, including broken pinkies and a crushed left foot.
