Douglas Alan Davis, a 39-year-old man from San Marcos, California, was last seen on March 21, 1995. He was known to frequent Palomar Mountain State Park, where he would often go running. On March 25, his vehicle was found abandoned near the park, and witnesses reported that it had been there since the day of his disappearance. At the time, Davis was wearing a black windbreaker, blue jeans, a black baseball cap, and running shoes.
Davis was not prepared for an extended stay in the cold mountain weather, which raised concerns when he went missing. Despite extensive search efforts, including the use of helicopters and tracking dogs, no signs of him were ever found. The search covered the park's rugged terrain but yielded no clues to his whereabouts.
