In the spring of 1998, a 47-year-old man named Victor Lee Abeyta vanished from Grand Junction, Colorado. He was last seen on May 5th of that year. At the time, he was employed as a butcher at a Safeway located on Patterson Road. A detail that speaks to the suddenness of his disappearance is the fact that he never collected his final paycheck from his job.
