Thomas Messick Sr., an 82-year-old experienced hunter, went missing on November 15, 2015, while on a hunting trip near Brant Lake in the Lake George Wild Forest in Horicon, New York. Messick was hunting with a group of friends and family members. The group split up, with the younger members driving deer towards the older hunters, who were stationed in static positions as watchers.
