Jose Sandoval-Rodriguez, a 19-year-old male, went missing on August 1, 2017, while swimming at Ocean Beach, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco, California. He was last seen wearing only a pair of black shorts when a powerful wave swept him out to sea. Despite rescue efforts and searches, his body was never recovered, and he is presumed to have drowned.
