Jimmy Laverne Bushbaum, a 29-year-old man, went missing on September 16, 1965, from San Quentin, California. Bushbaum had been serving a life sentence at San Quentin State Prison following his conviction for murder in 1960. Along with a co-defendant, Arthur G. Jones, he had pleaded guilty to the crime in San Bernardino. However, on the day of his disappearance, Bushbaum escaped from the prison, and authorities have not heard from him since.
