Pauline Anne Szwedo, aged 46, went missing on January 14, 1975, from East St. Louis, Illinois. That day, she left her job at Southwestern Bell to go on her lunch break but never returned. Her car was later found abandoned on the Eads Bridge, which spans the Mississippi River. Pauline's sudden disappearance raised immediate concerns as she was never heard from again.
